Former Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has revealed he is investing £400m into the club’s new stadium and hopes it will help “bridge the gap” between top players.

The Toffees will play their final game at Goodison Park on Sunday before moving to their new home at Bramley-Moore Dock next season.
Moshiri’s eight-year reign, which ended when สนใจสมัคร? คลิกที่นี่เพื่อเริ่มต้น he sold his stake to the Friedkin Group last year, has been mar by controversy but the construction of the new stadium has been one tangible positive legacy.
The British-Iranian businessman told Ufabet Sports News: “We all fell in love with Goodison. I fell in love with Goodison. Nobody wanted to leave. But the reason we had to leave was partly because of the infrastructure, partly because of the finances. “I had to invest £400m and the rest came from other investors.”
The new stadium has cost around £750m and has a capacity of 52,888. The stadium has already hosted the first two Tests at a reduced capacity, with a third due in the summer.
Moshiri believes the stadium can make a big difference as the club struggles for years in the bottom half of the Premier League.
“The fact that we have the Friedkin group, who are very good groundkeepers, in a new stadium, I think is our best chance to bridge the gap. Our fans have suffered for too long.”
